ABOUT US - WELCOME TO WYMONDHAM COLLEGE

Welcome to Wymondham College; the highest performing state school in East Anglia with results that consistently place us in the top 5% of state schools nationally. We are a unique community, made up of students aged 11-18; boarders and day pupils and a team of highly skilled and dedicated academic and support staff. We are united by our core values of trust, commitment, respect, passion, care and aspiration. These are demonstrated in every lesson, every day and in our extremely rich extra curricula programme; 'Wymondham Life'.

Academically, the College has a history of high performance in GCSE and A Level examinations.

Our students enjoy an ethos of learning that permeates all aspects of College life. Our students go on to a range national and international courses and careers including a large number who gain places at Oxbridge and other Russell Group universities. As a National Teaching School with 'World Class School' status, we are proud of our ability to ensure that every student becomes the best that they can be. Wymondham College is the founding school of the Sapientia Education Trust.

- Mr Jonathan Taylor, Executive Principal

As the new Head of School at Wymondham College, I am really excited to get to know the students, staff, parents and school community. During the very challenging interview process that led to my appointment, there were so many things that impressed me about the College; the dedication of the staff, the friendliness and confidence of the students and focus on achieving the best possible outcomes for all as well as the holistic development of the ‘whole student’ through the extensive enrichment programme; Wymondham Life.

Previous to this appointment, I was Executive Principal leading King Richard and St John’s Schools for the UK Ministry of Defence which served the families in British Forces Cyprus. It was an honour to lead such unique and high performing schools. I bring the same level of commitment to exceptional levels of pastoral care based on knowing each student and being focused on their individual needs.

I have a huge personal passion for learning especially regarding educational leadership. Developing others to be confident, committed, aspirational and respectful is the most exciting and rewarding aspect of my job; seeing students enjoying lessons, excelling on the sport field or immersing themselves in extracurricular pursuits gives me a huge sense of pride. I am committed to giving my very best at all times, I embrace change and welcome challenge and am deeply impressed by the traditions and high standards that are an intrinsic part of the College. As a College, we are driven by always doing what is right for the young people in our care so that they are happy and successful.

I look forward getting to know you this year.

Best wishes

- Mr Dan Browning, Head of School
