Six year 8 students attended a National competition to design and program prototype products using the BBC Microbit.
The event led by the Institute of Engineering challenged the students to design working solutions to problems faced by real life engineers.
Because the competition is still live we cannot disclose the information but Mr Meeson added that “the attitude, behaviour and engagement of our students was exceptional and they developed complex solutions to the problem. They were a credit to the college”. The students were not selected for the shortlist for the final but were commended for their outcomes. The students involved were Luke Minnis, Megan Galloway, Yannis Gawens, Evie Jones and Ethan Rushton.
